A 101 class is just that. A class designed to teach the new glassblower A – Z. From tools to glass, safety and studio set up and everything in between. When you leave this class you will have a complete understanding of melting borosilicate glass into functional or glass art varieties of your choice and the tools necessary to do so.
I have developed a class that packs a lot but is taught in a streamlined approach without moving into other subject matter until I know your minds eye has taken enough in before moving on. It is a lot but they way I teach the class you’ll retain enough of the subjects to be able to practice the fundamentals. You’ll leave the class with a binder for very easy reference. The binder I give you is not only for the class but also contains links to vendors and glass publications. I’ve also added information such as annealing , color chemistry, torch diagrams and studio safety.
