Thank you for stopping by my virtual glass studio …
This site offers visitors a behind-the-scenes look into my work as a glass artist, educator, and maker. Whether you’re interested in learning about glass, browsing current pieces, booking a class, or discussing custom work, I’m always happy to connect!
My studio is a private working space where I teach, demonstrate, and create glass art. While visitors are welcome to stop by, it is not a traditional brick-and-mortar store or gallery, so calling in advance is important. In October 2016, I closed High Tide Glass Studio on the boulevard and moved to a quieter, more private studio away from traffic and distractions, allowing for a more personal and educational experience.
On this site, you’ll find information about the work I create, the classes I teach, and the projects I’m currently involved in. You can also see where I may be heading next for shows or craft fairs. If you’re ever visiting Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, I hope you’ll reach out and stop in—perhaps even learn a thing or two about melting glass.
I’ve been blowing glass for over 25 years, with 16 of those years spent teaching new artists. If you have any interest in torch-worked glass (lampworking), I invite you to visit my Classes page. I offer a fast, one-hour “Make & Take” class that allows beginners to test the waters by creating a small pendant. I teach with the goal of planting a seed in every future glass artist.
A strong foundation is essential in this craft. Your first class should not only let you melt glass, but also teach flame chemistry, flame characteristics, color composition, and proper tool use—knowledge that is critical to working safely and successfully.
You can find reviews of my former studio, High Tide Glass Studio, through a Google search, as well as reviews on Google. Teaching glass is a true passion of mine, and I’m grateful to share it with others.
For the past six years, I’ve also been honored to create memorial glass keepsakes using ashes—both for loved ones and cherished pets. This work is very close to my heart, and I treat each piece with great care and respect. Please visit my Memorial page for more information, and don’t hesitate to call if you’d like to discuss this process or how we might bring your creation to life together.
If you ever have an idea involving glass that’s waiting to come to life, I’d love to hear it. Custom work within my skill set is always welcome, and I’m happy to talk through possibilities with you.
